Genius Hour Blog Post Week 5

So far it has been quite a journey. To be honest, I assumed that my Genius Hour journey would be similar to that of Bilbo Baggins, at least in terms of its transformative affect. I thought I would stumble upon mind-blowing information that would revolutionize how I see myself as a teacher, and how I see myself helping my students to unleash their hidden potentials and transform the world! ... well, maybe if I keep at it I will eventually stumble upon such information, or have that epiphany, but for the time being I think the data I have gathered is rather basic.
However, I still hope that it will be of some benefit and can at least serve as 'food for thought'. I think one way in which I could have improved upon my data and conclusions is by increasing the size of my study group. Rather than just asking family members and close friends, I think I could get a greater variety of answers and perspectives on the issue; especially if I could get a hold of people that are at the top of their respected fields. Not only those that have found their passions and are successful can add to improving my data, but actually those that have struggled, or at currently struggling, to find their passion would have very interesting input I think. That way I would be able to contrast the two sets of answers and look for commonalities between the things that might holds us back from finding out passions, and what might propel us forward.

  1. Hey !

I really like how your blog is nicely laid out, and very easy to function! It is also nice how you incorporated your math and literacy posts here as well :) It would be great to see your twitter account on your blog so we can get updates with everything you're up to ! Great work!
